Baby Jack and Little Brown Jug

("Baby Jack" sounds like a kind of cheese, doesn't it?)

I know you're panting for more baby pictures, so here is one I took yesterday with my iPhone. It takes really pretty darn good low light pictures! Better than my "real" camera.

I got to babysit yesterday for almost an hour while The Parents took a stroll round the neighborhood. Little Jack was disposed to be fussy at first, so I sang him "Little Brown Jug" about 20 times and he SOOO loved it. After a couple turns up and down the hallway, he started dropping off in the most melodramatic way, and then settled into a long nap on my lap. Thank God I had my iPhone nearby. After I took as many pictures as I could of Sleeping Infant in Cute Shirt in the Same Position, I resorted to playing Solitaire. Between periods of just staring at him...

He is gorgeous. There is nothing on the planet more precious than a baby or a youngish child. I cut that age off at about 6 when they start smelling like real people.
Congratulations to you all. I had been sort of away so I felt I neglected saying how happy I was for you.
Love those babies so much! Have fun.

Cheese? No. He sounds like a one man punk band--and he certainly has the glamor shots down.

But now I've got "little brown jug" in my head, darn it!

I love you and am so happy to see you so delighted. I don't think I have ever seen you so happy. Keep it up.

I could be Grand Scottie.

Melissa, I saw your msg just now.
I am much better today. Things are okay for now. I will repair and go forth. That is something I am really good at.

I cannot believe the support I have received from total strangers. It feels good especially since my main support system has crapped out. ;-)

The baby is a blessing to all of us. Even those of us who are out here and can't see him up close. We can see your joy, and just the knowing your families are filled with joy, helps me in many ways.
